Default What's louder, Injen ses or Topspeed pro1?

I just ordered the topspeed pro1 and had it on the car for about 30 minutes. It is loud as hell. Even with the silencers it sound horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE. sound like a honda that's about to explode! So I am returning it and I'm considering the Injen SES.

I agree. Injen with test-pipes is sick. I have this combo, if you bump limiter, you always get flames....

I know that the Apexi exhaust is loud as well, but next to my car with the headers, HF cats and Injen SES it sounds quite tame. The Injen exhaust is loud!! It is the closest thing to straight pipes out there that I have seen for the Z, but as someone mentioned, it is a good loud. It can be loud inside the car as well and it took quite a while to get used to it. Now I love it and wouldn't change for any other exhaust I have seen to date, but if you do not want a loud exhaust I wouldn't recommend it.

This is true? If so, then I'm sure I'll hear it from my friends at the track... [evil grin]

Default Angle injen vs. Straight injen

It looks like you have the angled tip design. I was under the impression that they are louder than the newer straight tip well, that what Injen said . The video of the straight tips sound pretty quite, but he didn't have test pipes.

I'll have to disagree. I've heard the Injen and it's not nearly as loud as the Pro-1. Test pipes or not...Pro-1 is louder than Injen.

NY350Z,
I basically have the same set up you have(Helix Test pipe)+Injen SES angled tips. Insanely loud is an understatement, I actually had a guy on a Harley say to me, "That exhuast is crazy loud.. i love it!!!" Since i just put the Helix Test pipes on last weekend, will the volume go down at all? Also, there's a metal ratteling noise coming from under the car(maybe the injen ses pipes touching each other) does your exhuast do the same w/ the helix? Thanks in advance.
