Borla headers cracked
My car has been making a slight sound that sounded like a minor exhaust leak for the last month. It got really bad the other day and the car stated sounding like a Toro. Took it to my buddies shop and figured the flange may be loose.
Unfortunately there is a 1/4 crack on the flange. The headers will be off the car Monday and I'll get some pics. I'm hoping I can send these back to Borla under warranty. However this is my daily driver so it's going to cost me a pretty penny in labor.

Has anyone else had any similar problems with the Borla headers?

I bought the Borla exhaust for the Z as soon as it came out. It was not true dual.
When the true dual came out, I felt I had just wasted my money. I wanted the dual!
I called up Borla and they ended up changing the exhaust out for free! They did'nt have to do that! That is customer service. All I had to do was be polite to the people I spoke with. If you are a nice guy they will want to help you.
I have no doubts that they will change out your headers. Dont know about labor though.....

Here are the pics of the headers. There is ~ 1 inch crack where the runner meets the flange. I guess I didn't look close enough when I initially purchased the headers. The area where the runners meet the flange is extremely thin and the weld looks shotty at best. I hope this is an isolated case and all Borla headers don't show such low quality.
I've contacted the vendor I purchased from and they are going to contact Borla to see if they will honor their 1M mile warranty. I know Borla has a good following in the 350z community and I hope their customer service lives up to this reputation. I'm hoping this doesn't become a situation similar to what I went through with Random Technologies when my cats failed .

I've never had major isseu with their catbacks ;however, I have had header cracking issues twice. Once on the flange , and once on the collector. I will never use their headers again. SS gauge used is too thin, so durablity sux.
