Default what to do...crappy repair

I finally got my car back on tuesday after not having it for 2 weeks because i hit a guardrail and it dented from the front quarter panel all the way back to the rear quarterpanel. The front and rear quarter panels look fine now. However, the door is still kind of screwed up. If you look at it straight on, it looks fine. However, if you catch it at the right angle from the side you can tell it is wavy. If you look at the reflection of a white line in the road, you can tell the door is not 100% better. I went through geico when i had the repairs done. What should I do to get it fixed the right way???

a reputable repair shop should have a written warranty for their repairs ( at least 1 year from date ). Take it back and have it repair it correctly.....take lots of pics, and bring pics of what it looked like before the accident. let your ins co know that you are not 100% satisfied with the repair as well.

I can tell you for a fact that Geico tries to minimize their estimates, so instead of actually replacing your door altogether, they most likely just nailed it out and repainted/reclearcoated the door. When you catch a glimpse of the door (standing with your hips touching the rear of the car) and looking directly at it from the side, you will see the 'waviness' and can always tell if a door has been damaged. If you look straight on you will never notice a thing. Basically, it wasnt a crappy repair job, the only way to get it back to a perfect state was to have the door replaced. Since Geico already authorized the work and you already took possession of the car, there is probably little you can do now unless the body shop is willing to work with you on the matter.
