CD Player Skips when it is cold
When the temperature outside is below 40 degress, the CD player tends to skip and play randomly. Has any experienced this problem? Have tried copied CDs as well as store purchased ones, same issue.

I have the same exact problem!!! I notice on long trips after 20 min and I leave the heat on high the skipping goes away. Something in the stereo does not like the cold. What kind of systems do you have? I am assuming the bose?

I had same problem on my unit(Bose system) 2 times already.
First time happend an year ago and it was the same problem as yours-cold weather=CD skips..
Second one was just few months ago, and it wasn't the weather. When I played the cd the left side speakers(Tweeter, Mid) were fading out and doesn't come back, but it worked fine on radio mode.
Dealer told me the left side speakers are the problems. However, it doesn't fix at all after they changed the speakers. So, they changed the whole unit to new one- and it was my second time to change it.
