I'm looking to have my transmission diagnosed by someone that has some mechanical ability (but I guess that's too much too ask for from the dealers in NJ and NY... unfortunately I have been having a streak of bad experiences with the local dealers). I believe my clutch may be slipping but I would really like a detailed inspection of the transmission seeing that my warranty is almost up. Anyone with good experience from a Nissan service department in the NY/NJ area, specifically doing complicated/major repairs? At this point, I'm willing to have the car diagnosed and worked on outside of Nissan if someone can recommend anyone that does specifically transmission work. I need someone I can depend on to service my car with the care it deserves.
