Default Ran over a Man hole cover DAMAGE

I was driving home on the main road in my subdivision 2 weeks ago. All of the sudden and I want to add I have crossed this man hole 1000 times nver a problem but they had been doing somthing with it and it was higher than normal. It ripped and tore the bottom out ....seperated the frame supports on driver side and underneath the rear brackets all shreaded. They had to take the carpet and driver seat to weld the hole shut that was caused by manhole cover. This was the worst day of my life my baby torn all to h*ll. Beware of the manhole"s in new subdivisions because they can kill.... I might get it back today. BY the way the next day I called my ins , that evening the they had the manhole blocked off 2 days later they completly fixed it so that tells me my ins got them to agree it was builders faught and builder is paying for the claim so should my ins still go up since the ins company got all there $$ since it was the builders faught ... I will be pissed if they hit me with a big premium jump.

If it was deemed the builder's fault, and your insurance company nailed them on it and makes them pay up, your rates should not go up. Only your record should have anything to do with that, as well as the theft rates, cost to repair, stats on the vehicle line, etc. (the usual stuff).

That would be covered under your comp section of your insurance.

Your rates will NOT go up!
