Default Warranty on Nav door?

After reading dozens and dozens of posts about the Nav door, i was unable to find exactly what i was looking for..

With the 2003 Nav door (no nav system), mine doesnt always open when you push the button, it has to be helped a little by taping it slightly from underneith, it then slides up. It closes just fine.

Anyone had theirs replaced/fixed under warranty or is that just something that has to be lived with on the 03's.

Everything should be covered under warranty, no matter how little. I would take it to the dealer and tell them you're not satisfied with it's function.

I did....they fixed it and after about a few months it was doing it again. I would like to just take it off and leave it off if possible.

My parts for this came in yesterday. The dealer is replacing it on Tuesday. It is covered. I'm sure it will break again in a few months. 03 touring no nav. Wish I could have talked them into the newer one but no go on that. Not even sure it would work.

speaking of nav door, mine broke last week. I have 42k miles, so warranty is out of the question. I disassembled everything and found the door was held by a little plastic hook. The hook broke so I just use epoxy to fix it. it was PITA!! I put some grease on the track and the metal spring, it should be okay for now..

Mine isnt bad, it's not worth taking it in at this point i dont think, it does work most of the time. I checked out a brand new 05 35th in the showroom with no nav, and that door didnt work great either, and i dont like how it opens up instead of back. I'm actually glad i have the 03 in this case. Unrelated i still wish there was a way to get ahold of those seatbelt service arm things without buying the whole assy.
