Kinda hard to explan....when my car is idoling is sounds like air or something is leaking out. Its near the back of the car. My friend thinks an exhaust leak but it kinda sounds like my car is leveling out. I have no idea what it is does anybody have something similar.

I've noticed it.. when the car is at Idle. I've noticed when i'm outside the car while its running.. you can hear some kind of wind/rasping sound...

 

no its like in the back of my car. Next time your car is idleing put your head next to the back tire and see if you hear what im talking about. You know when you hook up snowmobiles or a boat to the back of a SUV it adjust itself to the weight and it makes a wierd noise it kinda sounds like that.

 

I had somewhat of a similar problem... But, whenever I reved the engine, I could hear a leaking sound... So I took it to my mechanic and I hasd to replace a gasket...
