PLEASE! DO WE KNOW IF 05'S HAVE FEATHERING>?
 

I have read pages and pages of the 371 page thread and I still don't can't get a read if the 05's are any different with the suspension and are not feathering on the owners who have them now.. Anyone with an 05 Z or roadster PLEASE CHIME IN ON THIS**** I'm looking ot purchase a 05 roadster and would really wish to hear from 05 owners! THank you all! :icon34:

2200 miles and no feathering. They changed the front suspension on the 05's, spindles, ect. With that said I have read very few 05 owners that state they have feathering. Here is one with 4K miles.

So they did change the parts? do we have confirmation of this? what parts? do we know? and there are some 05's hat do have feathering? is there a specific build date to look for??? Thanks again!!

I have an '05 with almost 5,000 miles and no tire feathering. My husband has an '03 with 28,000 miles and no feathering.

well, do I dare ask for an update? After reading these links not many people had high mileage on there 05, but that was in April.

I have 10k on my '05, bought it in March. No feathering on it so far.

Part of the Z ownership experience is to have feathering. The suspense is still killing me.... ;)

It's sad but true that this is such a sad part od ownership on MOST 03's and 04's...so i'm hesitant to go and buy that 05 roadster i want..........but take it from me, someone who had feathering at 1500 miles on an 03 Z....Oh what joy that ownership experience was...Just as an FYI! Here in the Northeast, the dealers can't give away 03 z's!! every lot i go to has 4-6 of them sitting there, People know that the 03-04 have major feathering probs..........

The build date on my door jamb says 10/04. So far no problems, I've already had two oil changes and will be on my third one soon. I drive the Z in WOT at least once a day. No track use, she's strictly a street car.

I hope that you do get one with no problems also but if there is... that's when to use the Nissan warranty. Best of luck with your search.
