Unhappy Window Problem

I have an 04' Roadster and experienced a problem with my passenger side window today while closing it. I lifted up on the window switch on my drivers side door panel to activate the "auto-up" function and the window began moving up as it should. When the window reached the top, it immediately reversed itself and came back down half-way and then stopped in that position. I then again lifted up on the switch and the window then automatically went back up and stayed in the fully up position. I the re-checked the operation and it continued to do the half-way down thing. Now the window will "not" ever go from fully open to fully closed using the "auto-one touch" function. It continues to reverse itself and go back down to the half-way position (it always stops at the exact same spot when going down) and it will always fully close from that half-way position.

It's got me baffled............can someone help me out.

Thanks in advance for your help!

common problem. if you are under warranty get it to the dealer and i think they can replace the motor no problem. mine does the same thing and all i have to do is when it gets to the top, continue to hold the window button in the up position and it will stay. thats what i do.

Mine has done it a few times and I just don't use the auto up to get it to stay and then the next time it's fine.
If it gets any worse I'll take it in. I have the rear axel clicking too, but I just hate to leave my car at the dealer.

Mine has been doing that, I just fixed it today there is a reset function call. You have to take off the door panel to get to the reset on the regulator. Look up the TSB on it(Technical Service Bulletin) to get the sequence.

Hey if your car still has waranty, take it back to the dealership, mine did that about a month ago and sure enough, warranty covered it, I was told that thay just needed to reset it.

Mine was doing that too. Took it to the dealer and they 'adjusted' it, it was fine for 2 hours then did the same thing again.
Took it to the dealer, they took a look at it and are ordering a new regulator for it.
Its something you definetly want to get fixed while its under warranty

It is the INFAMOUS window regulator problem.....that thing is about to go bad. I give it a month tops before the window will not roll back up. If that happens hit it above the speaker to get it to roll back up....POS regulator....UGH!
