Help me! :)
Ok, so my brakes have been making a horrible sound...I figured it was the brake pads so I took it to Car X to have the pads replaced...they said I need new pads and rotors!
So I call my dad (I didn't want to put over$500 on my visa!) and he said Nissan should cover those rotors, so I call Nissan and they say to bring it up, they'll probably cover it. So I go up there, wait forever and they come back and say that it's just normal wear they won't cover the rotors. I was pissed, because Infiniti covered rotors in my bf's G and Ford covered them on my dads Cobra. I mean doesn't less than 2 years seem like kind of a short life for rotors? The jerk behind the counter said they have problems with rotors in 2 of their vehicles (one of the trucks and I think the Murano) and they'll replace those but not in the Z. He also told me that my car was a "high performance" vehicle and that the rotors will wear out quicker than most cars. I told him that was funny, b/c I drove a Mustang with over 300hp everyday for 2 years and never had any problems with rotors.
My question is, has anyone had this problem and has Nissan covered it? Sorry for the long post guys, but I had to rant to someone!

sounds like your rotors might be warped, and that can be caused by washing your wheels after some spirited braking. It's a normal wear and tear part like the clutch and the brake pads, so legally nissan doesn't have to replace them especially after 2 years. How many miles do you have? Are you still under warranty?
Looks like your going to have to bite the bullet on this one. I know that it sucks, but I have the extended 100,000 mile warranty on my car, and they tried to charge me A LOT of money for my breaks, but I ended up just going to the service department, buying a set of pads, and having a friend do it for me. But good luck.
