Default Heated seat switches

I have a problem accidentally turning on the drivers side seat heater with my elbow. I'll be toodling along and suddenly my backside is roasting.

My first thought was just live with it during the winter and then pull the fuse during the summer months (assuming the seat heaters are on a separate circuit).

But then I noticed the blank switch location nearest to the passenger seat. Since I only seem to bump the driver's side switch, I was hoping I could move the two switches one notch to the right and then put the blank switch cover where the driver's side used to be. Has anyone had the center console out and looked to see if that would be possible? And is there a trick to removing the center console/armrest?

Thanks

Yes, the switches can be repositioned. It was done by another member a long time ago. He had the dealer do it though but I'm sure it's not difficult. You shouldn't have to rewire anything.

Thanks for the link. Guess my idea wasn't that original, eh? I might have to head out the garage and tackle that right now.
