How much oil needed to replace tranny?
Hi, I was told the tranny in a 350Z MT would hold 3.25 quarts.
Then I called Nissan to make an appointment for my 30K service and the tech told me to replace all the transmission fluid I would need 8 quarts.
He said to drain and replace the whole system, it takes twice the amount than what the bottom of the transmission holds...so instead of 4 quarts, I should have 8 quarts.
Can anyone confirm this?

I kinda have no choice about going to them though. I put out a feeler on the local Z site about dealerships that can service lowered cars (w/ bodykit) and allow people to bring in their own oils. Two dealerships were mentioned. One of those dealerships is associated with a slew of horror stories of damaged cars. I've heard nothing about good things about the other one...which is where the above tech works. Hopefully he was just a bit confused at the time and snaps out of it when it's time to work on my car....or maybe someone else there will work on my car.
Either way, I hate bringing it to dealerships, and I usually don't, but I feel like it's a must for the 30K service.
