I was wondering something about the Z. Is there any structural piece (pieces) inside the "box" behind the seats. By box I mean the module that contains the subwoofer and glove boxes.

Does that box serve any purpose other than to hold the cubbys in place? The cross brace is farther back so it isn't that.

Just seemed a little odd.

 

Do a search for dwnshift's 350ZR stripped interior. There are some pics there of that area. Also, I think nizl's audio install thread has some pics of that.

I believe it does have structural parts to it.
