Question alarm problem?

hi

just right now my alarm went off twice for reason i dont know why...what i think it is ..is that i just got CF hood and its not put on straight enough or down enough so there is a gap on the passenger side..inside the engine there is like a switch or pushdown spring button, looks like that needs to pushed down by the hood, since my hood is not pushed down all the way i tink its causing the alarm to go off.....not 100% sure if thats the cause..any feedback would be great..

Few things first. Did you just wash your car or did you drive in the rain? A very small amount of moisture has to get into the hood switch for it to change resistance. If neither of those are true then the vehicle should alarm properly if the hood switch is not working properly. Thats all I can tell you. It happen to me on my Dodge Ram. Hood switch failed. Just disconnect and wait to see if it goes off again.

Good luck

i havent washed my car, but i was snowing a little ..wen the snow melted, thats the only form of water that probably came in contact with the hood, but i dont think water could have gone in to the middle of the engine, just mostly the outter rim of the hood.
