Anyway to repair a CF resin crack?

Just noticed I am developing a nice crack in the resin of my seibon hood. This is right above where the latch is. I've had mine on for about a year and 3 months. I have to push very hard to get it to latch so I guess it was bound to happen. I would like to find a way to stop it from spreading and or minimize the appearance. Any suggestions? I am going to install hood latches.

unfortunately, once resin is cracked, or seperated (probably due to poor curing) there's nothing you can do about it-
you can try to wet sand down the crack with a super high grit and polish it, and re clear-coat the entire hood to prevent future cracking but other than that- nothing you can do-

Cheston is right...HOWEVER... a technique that will reduce the visibility it.
you will need:
1: soft cloth
2: Black hard point "sharpie" pen
Take the pen and slowly run it along the crack, allow the ink to seep into the crack. Immidiatly wipe off and remove any excess ink that may have run.
Viola... its not fixed.. but it is ALLOT less noticable.

bondo.?
assuming KoolZero wants to keep the CF hook, there's no way.
of course you can paint over CF, bondo, autoprimer, all that stuff will go over the resin, its pretty much just shiny from the gelcoat anyway-
rough the surface and repaint. but that defeats the point of getting a CF hood imho-

Just as FYI. I have a Seibon hood and I have that exact same crack... But I got mine within 1 month. BUT, I must add that mine was VERY hard to latch and I think someone pushing/sitting on the hood caused mine to occur.
I guess I am lucky in that mine is painted.. SO, sanding and repainting should be fairly easy.
Trust MD to have a cheap answer on how to make it look better... are there any tricks you don't know man...

FYI, I had a Seibon VT and had the exact same thing after 7 months. Just bought another Veilside CF hood to replace it.
To wet sand it down and re-clear the whole hood is a lot of work. Might as well just get another one.

Thanks a lot for the replies I'm going to try the sharpie trick.
when you say a hard sharpie do you mean this type
or a fine tip sharpie?
