Guys,

My 04 Touring Z is at 33K miles... I am thinking about extending the warranty on it to 50K or 100K miles. I haven't had any problems with the car as I bought it new. I did have most to all of the TSBs applied to the car with no issues.

Can anyone provide comments about extending the warranty and / or experiences you've had? Thanks.

 

Dollar wise, extended warranties are a losing proposition. Extended warranties have too many exceptions.

 

+1. the only thing I really worry about is the A/C. that thing is expensive to fix and in my experience will usually have major problems prior to 100k miles, although I'm sure I'll be in a different car by then.

 

I got the Gold plan that covers the entire car for 7 years (2012). It cost me about $1900 and covers belts, hoses, all electrical issues and the rest.... I figured that if the thing has an electrical glitch sometime in its life I'll be even. It covers the Nav too. If I have to fight with Nissan at least I'm covered. I don't plan to sell the car so its worth it to me but everyone is different.
