I have searched under the Repair topic, but it only hold 3 pages of info, so it didn't find anything.
W/e thx for the info, I'll try and figure it out some other way.

how bad does it bug you?????
sure it bothers me a little but i carry a microfiber cloth and window cleaning tearoffs in the car and just wipe it down whenever i am at a stop light.
i am sure that by now, the dealers have become readily skilled at fixing this, but i have heard too many horror stories of what happens after taking the door apart, that i consider the streaks the far less of the two evils!!

Just to let everyone know, the window grease streak still happened to my 2006 coupe.
On the passenger side only, one grease streak at about the center of the glass on the inside.

Took mine to the dealership but after a few days the streaks came back. If you do a search there was a write up in regards to removing a piece of greased felt from inside the door panel which guides the window up and down.
It's a sort of like a piece of felt.
If you take it to the dealer, they'll just clean it.
I was tempted to remove it, but it looks like it helps guide the glass plus keep it from possibly hitting the metal arms.
If you want to fix it yourself, just look at the guides for cleaning your window motor. You'll need to take the door panel off, plus the metal panel that holds the glass and motor. It's behind that panel somewhere on the metal arm.
