Question about Trac Cont. or Clutch Slip... PLZ HELP!!
today i was on the freeway doing around 80mph, in 6th gear... and my traction control light came on and was blinking "SLIP" and it cut down power to the rear wheels, the car slowed down to about 40mph and i couldnt accelerate in any gear. after just about pulling over next to the fast lane, the light finally went off and i was able to accelerate again in 4th gear. thats not the first time this has happened. i dont think its a clutch problem, but im not sure. any insight??

this has happened to me too. i recently installed a new clutch and flywheel. but never happens at 80mph. usually 30 to 40mph. and when i hit the gas fairly hard. i dont see how the car is slipping or tires are spinning but it is usually blinks "slip" once or twice and loose power and then it goes way WTF?

The same thing is happening to me. It has happened about 20 times now and it only happens if the tracition control is on and the cruise control is off. I have had slipping at 100+mph. Cruise control will not let it slip I have found out but I have no clue. I am taking my car into the shop tomorrow and will post a reply for you tomorrow.
