had mine done a couple of weeks ago. now their is a exhaust smell coming from the front of the car. for example if you lower the window or i open the door while at idle i can instantly smell exhaust. dealer says this isnormal and is a protecant burning off. but why would a protectant burn off? anyone else go through this and experience the same thing?

sidenote:i remember wheni first joined ehre and everone complained about nissan service. i thought it cant possible be that bad. how naive i was

 

Can you hear an exhaust leak? If not, I'd give it a few days to see if the smell goes away.

car seems a little louder when accelerating
its been over a week. i just finally took it in yesterday. ill update

 

If it smells like gas, its a leak, if it smells like a dull oily smell, its normal. Report back in 2 weeks and if its still there, then it may be a problem. Otherwise, itll smell weird for a few weeks while oil from fingerprints is burning off.
