well guys so far so good, i have tint on my windows and no problems yet. at first the window showed some grease after i did this but i cleaned it up twice, i think it was because there was some left over grease on the thingy lol. again i don't promise miracles but it worked for me.

I plan on trying it this weekend when I replace my OEM mirrors (which require removal of the door panels). I'll try to take some pics and post some results.

with the instructions on this TSB and the part ordered from Nissan you can replace this yourself... I called a dealer and they dont have it in stock, but it's only $15 for the part.. I have not done this myself but will order this when I get a chance to stop at the dealer to give them some loot..

I'm pissed to report: This issue was not resolved in the 07's.

I got a nasty grease streak on my passenger window today. Gaaaahhh!

I was quoted $145 / side today.

Mine is minor so I will save it as a project for later.

sorry for bumping such an old thread.

Will taking out the felt scratch the windows? I'm trying to retint my windows because of my grease problem. I want to fix the problem first. Can't you just buy some felt with no grease and glue it on there ?

Man I have some grease streaks on my drivers side. Looking for some info on this as well. Any scratches after removing the felt?

Wont take it to the Stealership, they have shitty attitudes over there at Smithtown Nissan.
