Default for those who got toe angle fix:

Wow oh wow,

did I have an experience with Nissan. And its not my dealers fault either.

I had the 3rd gear tranny problem,, got a new tranny,, it did NOT work in 5th or 6th gear,, so I had to wait for another tranny to be shipped in (a week),, so while my car was sitting there,, I had them also address my loud tire noise problem (tire feathering).

Tires (front) were swapped left and right and car was alligned (toe angle).

So I got the new tranny and that part was fine, BUT,, they said the Nissan service bulletin only called for alignment of the front wheels only.

Is this true?.. For those of you that have had the tire feathering issue, did they only fix the toe angle on the front wheels or did they do the back wheels too... Just curious since I cant seem to get my hands on what the Nissan bulletin exactly said.

Thanks,
RaymanZ

Default I don't know what the TSB says,

but my dealer checked and adjusted both front and back, since they were all out of spec.

Not only that, this is NOT the dealer where I bought the car, just an excelent service dept at Maroone Nissan in Coral Gables, Miami.

I can post the report tonite if it would help. It shows the angles pre and post adjust.

that would be great, thanks..

Does anyone know if Nissan specifies both front and back,, or do I also have to find a better service department?

I never thought of getting them to check the rear too. I was concentrating on the front since that's where the bad tire wear was, but I didn't even look at the tread on the rears.

I also got the alignment done and tires rotated from rim to rim, and the noise problem is much improved. But it's still not great and I am thinking of going back and demanding new tires.
