Default Weird stall at startup

My positive terminal came undone and my car wouldnt start. I realised that the ********* who put the batterey in did not tighten it enough.

I took it off for a while while I searched for the proper tools.

After reconnecting it the car started fine then turned off immediately. Several more starts, same thing.

Then I started it and gave it a touch of gas when the rpms started to drop. and then it held at the proper idle.

Everytime I start it now, I have to give a few blips at first to keep it from stalling. Once that is done the thing runs great. No rough idle No CEL. I just have to hold the throttle above 600 RPM for a few seconds then the car does it on its own.

I don't get it. Has anyone had this experience?

Maybe you need to do throttle positioning relearning or ECU reset...

Could be.

There is nothing else wrong. And as long as I do one quick blip on startup its all good.

It's gotta be one of these things...

1. reset ECU
2. clean MAF using spray cleaner (while the car is cold, and make sure to let the cleaner dry)
3. throttle position relearning procedure
4. raise idle.... using cipher or some dealers will do it for you
