My z clutch is stuck inside
I tried to burnout my z. it was really hot that day.
Also, the road was very dry. I was practicing to burnout,
and also drifting. The place I was practicing at was really
wide, so it was comfortable for me to practice at.
When I drifted, I put my gear into the 2nd gear. I didn't use the clutch at that time, but when I tried to do the doughnut, I used the clutch.
I stopped and turned my wheels all the way to the left and my RPM went up to about 5000-6000. However, when I started to do the doughnut, my clutch was stuck inside and didn't come back out. So I held on to the brakes and stepped on to the clutch a few times, and then the clutch came back out. What is this problem? Why is this happening?
Also, I want to use the slick tires for drag racing. What kind of clutch company is best to use for 350z?
Please reply ASAP. Thank You

make sure you have enough clutch fluid...the throwout bearing if gone bad usually causes the pedal not to come back..also the master cylnder and the slave master cylnder could be involved which provide the oil to the throwout bearing..in that situation you'll never know for sure unless you take it appart..
practice on a wet road in the future..that way you'll save tires..and it wont be hard on your drivetrain..

If the clutch gets hot, the pressure plate will actually stick to the disc. This has happened to me twice at the track. The solution is to either get a different clutch or just don't slip your clutch, causing it to heat up. My roommate's Z28 used to weld it's clutch all the time (turbo, pushing 800 HP), and that was with a SPEC stage 5. He ended up going to a TH400 autobox.
to a high temp. fluid such as Super Blue. The same thing happened to me last Spring. The orig. fluild is too low of temp. to stand up to high performance driving. After changing the fluid I haven't had any problems.
