I just recently had this happen to me. When I shift through every gear and press the gas.....the rpms jump really high and the then my car gradually picks up speed and as it picks up speed......then my rpms go down. Can anyone tell me what they think is wrong\?.....Thanks

 

Does the engine actually rev quickly or does the Tach just jump? It sounds like a bad clutch. Is there a very bad smell when this happens?
