Rust spots in trunk lid jamb
I cleaned/waxed every inch of my car yesterday. To my surprise I noticed several rust spots inside the rear hatchback jamb. We have always had the standing water issue in the jamb, and I think this is to blame for the rusting. I would suggest you guys check that area very thoroughly. I think I noticed because my car is a chrome silver and it shows very prominently.
I'm calling the dealer now, will keep you guys posted.

the sucky thing is... most vehicle warranties only cover outer body rust through. Kinda stupid I hope Nissans is better. I also hope they don't want rusty brand new cars running around the world. Last time that happened was the chevy vega and it killed the car.

Took it to the dealer yesterday. They will have there bodyshop clean out the rust spots. The manager said that they will eat the cost, but inform Nissan about the problem. I guess it's too much paperwork for them to get reimbursed by Nissan.

That is not good for a brand new car to be rusting so early! Even if you applied wax the clear coat should at least keep it from rusting.--Besides they should have rust proofed it before the car left the factory. if it was my car I would sell it and purchase a 2004 Z. Seems like you may have more problems down the road!
