Default In for service

My Z is at the dealer for service today.

They will be checking the brakes for air, alignment and tire feathering and a seat belt inertial lock that won't release after lock-up.

I will post anything of value here.

Well, here are the results of my service.

New seatbelt ordered

front tires swapped- rims destroyed.

Apparently the brakes feel spongy on single app but firm up when pumped-- I was informed this is normal.

When I picked up up the car I laughed at the service guy and said "fine, I'll bleed them myself".

But the wheels are really scratched up good. I have seen posts where people are happy with body shop repaints of wheels. I don't think I should haqve to take the chance. There is a touring 6M on the lot and I am going to ask them to paint my wheels and put it on that car. When they refuse, I will request a new pair of wheels from the factory. I will take it some where else to swap the tires.

I have a file open on this and Nissan will back it up. I hope.
Not happy.

You know the tire machine is the only thing that can make that perfect circle mark around the rim. If it had been curbed I would see scrapes like ((((((((((((( and not --------------- around the rim. I am tired of fooling with the wheels and tires on this car. To boot, my suspension is starting to pop on turns and braking.

I guess I will have to see what nissan says.

VandyZ,

Don't loose hope cause you have no proof. show them your miles then show them where they took them off. I bet with the scrub vs rub argument you can get them to at least powder coat them for free.

I grabbed the service writer by the neck and dragged him out to see what they did. It was funny with the french fries falling out of his mouth and all. :-)

I am not worried as they will make this right and my way to boot.

Dealer did the same damage to mine. All four. They ordered a new set of four and took them to a speed shop I recommended to have them installed without scratching them.
