Default Still have tire feathering?

Hey guys, I was on here a long time ago because I wanted to buy a 350z. Then I bought a diesel truck instead. Love the diesel and I've seen guys run 10's, but sometime in the near future I might be considering another car and selling the truck. Once again, the 350z is an option. Do they still have the tire feathering and tranny problems? I will eventually turbo/supercharge it. I will get a manual tranny. How do they hold up to forced induction? Any new problems I missed?

Both feathering and transmission problems have been completely fixed. The 350Z is an excellent choice for forced induction.

The feathering is fixed on my 03 (knock on wood) and has no transmission problems (knock on wood). I do burn 1 quart every 1k miles...but then again I know about 5 guys with 03's and they have had NO problems with anything what so ever. I bought the car with 19k miles and now have 28k and noticed the oil consumption problem immediately, and now I am getting my engine-replaced bye Nissan for free (Nissan approved a short block). As far as longevity on the engine with FI many people on here have over 400whp and equal torque that has been running strong for 25kmiles plus, some people have not been so lucky.

With the 06, 07 I would not expect any problems.

Sorry for the long answer, but I have been sick for 3 days and im bored out of my mind.

Upgrading your wheels has nothing to do with it. It's all about your TOE setting, which nissan has figured out. As well as the new tire thread design, and Nissan handed out free tires right and left. I took advantage of that, and never heard of a car company hand out free tires.

Why do you burn oil?

What seems to be the main point of weakness with these cars right now?

Glad to hear the tire feathering issue has been resolved. Tell you the truth, that was the main thing that kept me from buying the Z in the first place. Those tires are expensive to be changing out every year!

The tech told me the seals around the piston did not settle properly...I don’t know if he is feeding me a line, or even if he knows.

The problems I read about now are oil consumption but that is a small amount of people out of a 70k member count, and I would venture to say alot of those claims are just what I said...claims.

Just get the Car!
