I might have found the problem. I always thought that the noise was coming from the center dash. Somewhere by the gauges or maybe behind the lid . After listening very carefully the noise actually comes from the rear view mirror. There is a little plastic wire running down from the headliner to the mirror. The plastic casing around it vibrates and causes the noise. So I hope that helps anyone having the same noise issues for the front of the car. The picture below is of the wire that makes the noise if you guys cant figure it out

 

I had the same problem. Took me forever to find the damn rattle, but turned out it was the rear view mirror too.

 

so how to fix it? i have the same problem, really loud too

 

I was thinking of some black electric tape to secure it more. Thats about all you should need.

i was driving to class this morning and noticed it, never happened before until now. i shall investigate the rear view mirror. i too suspected that it was the dash.

 

This is a technical service bulletin from nissan, basically that little plastic piece behind the rear view mirror they put a bunch of felt tape around it. I got mine done last week.
