Tranny problems?

Which cars are having the tranny problems; is it the early production numbers or all of them after a certain amount of miles?

What number on the VIN is the production number?

I don't know if you can tie it into the vin number, I researched it a little, and found that happens more in 3-6k mile range. It just so happens that the earlier vins are hitting those numbers. IMHO
