Default '06 Z Clutch "Rattle"

I was just curious to see if this has happened to anyone else on their Z. When i am parking or doing anything involving little gas and not fully letting go of my clutch it makes this rattling/clacki-ty sound, comnig from where the transmission is...if i push the clutch in all the way then it stops. Also when semi-cold/cold and i turn my car on, as soon as i release the clutch you can hear a rattle (ticku ticku ticku ticku <---what the sound sounds like over the internet haha but you have to say them fast) but once i push the clutch all the way in it stops. IMO it sounds like something may be loose or is this somewhat of a natural Z noise???

Ha, I was just about to post about this question.

My '06 has about 8500 miles on it and the rattle noise has been there since day one.

It's only rattles when I'm going into first from neutral and first into second, then after third, it's all gravy.

Maybe something needs to be tighten???

My 04 does this also it sounds like marbles rattling around in the tranny until I push the clutch in. Also if you turn off your car with the cltuch pushed in it doesnt make that noise like something is broken

my dads Z does the same thing. its most noticable when we start going.

i had the Z out one day and it sounds like it is coming from around a shield under there thats protecting the exhaust.

Maybe it's the throw-out bearing? No big deal.

It's COMPLETELY normal guys. All 350Zs from all years do it. It's just drivtrain noise originating from the heavy duty bearings in the trans.

If it did it when you pushed the clutch IN then that would not be normal and would be a bad throw out bearing.
