Default Window grease - fixed,, now new rattles

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone else got their window grease problem taken care of recently. I did mine at the dealer today and now the windows have a slight rattle to them like they are hitting something inside. This is especially evident when I open or close the door from the inside or when they are partially down when i'm driving and I go over a few bumps on the road.

I dunno what to do,, I went back to the dealer and they said they reopened the door panels and made sure everything was tight. They said this stuff can happen when you open and reassemble a factory-assembled door and that there is nothing you can really do about it.

AAAAHHHHH,, this is really making me nuts,, I can only hope it goes away with time.

Hey, at least my frikkin grease streak is gone!

Anyone else have a similar experience?

I thought my window grease problem was fixed too.
But a week later IT'S BAAAAAACK !!!

I've just learned to not roll down my windows unless I have to.

The fix was done using the TSB fix-it kit? If so...bummer
Mine was done almost 2 weeks ago and no problems, grease or rattles.

I only have a small amount of grease appearing on the driver's window. It's really not that bad....not bad enough for me to risk something else happening inside the door while at the dealer.

Default yes sirree

Yes, my fix was done with by the TSB protocol using the new felt piece.

Great, now I have the return of the grease to look forward to,, YIPPEE!!

Seriously though,, does anyone know why my windows rattle now? Is there something obvious that my tech failed to tighten? Something that I can address? Damn, I'm going over to Ebay right now to purchase a service manual.

I would definitely say the mechanic did not do something right I had mine fixed a week ago and all is tight and no grease as of yet.

The only continual problem I have with the Windows is that automatic down and up motion when you open and close the door for some reason on the driver's side it just does not want to go down as far as when it was new . they felt that this update would also correct that problem but it has not I guess it goes down enough to not cause a problem but the original half-inch motion would be nice now it's only between a eighth of an inch and a quarter.
If you can try bringing it to a different dealership.

What dealer in NJ did you bring to fix window grease? And how would you rate this dealer overall? (oil changes, warranty work, etc.)

Thanks!!!

Pine Belt Nissan on Route 37 in toms River. I would actually rate them very highly, they really do go out of their way too satisfy.
I just remind myself I am dealing with a totally new car and I expect to have first-year problems I took that into consideration when I bought the car. But overall it's been a very good experience with that dealership probably my best experience with a dealership.

Cool... thanks for the 411. Unfortunately my girlfriend lives in Union county, Toms River is a bit too far for her to travel for maint/warranty work.

Thanks again for the reply and goodluck with the Z and the dealership.
