Question Question about Fuel filter, advise is needed.

My car has been feeling sluggish lately, and I haven't been able to determine why. I've had an engine compression test ,spark plugs checked, hoses, belts, MAF sensor, and everything looks fine. The clutch was checked and is fine. I'm running out of possibilities here. Do you know if there's a fuel filter in the Z and if my problem could be a result of a clogged fuel filter? What else would you guys have checked in regards to my fuel system/components?

Any advise would be very helpful.

Thanks

The good news is that there's no replaceable fuel filter in the Z. The bad news is that it's built into the fuel pump assembly inside the tank, so if on the off chance it is clogged, it's a ***** to change.

Nissan considers it a non-maintenance item.

I would use some injector cleaner and clean your MAF. Is the A/C on when you notice this?

I replaced the MAF sensor and the problem still exists. Even if I turn the AC off or TPS, nothing. The mechanic also suggested getting my fuel injectors cleaned, but he said it would probably do very little for me and it would cost around $100. So in other words, it wouldn't be worth it. Do you guys know if this could be an electrical problem? I was considering the possibility that it could be a senor wire that is being grounded or something of that nature.

Does yours sputter at all? My has a drastic power drop at around 2k and it will sputter if I cruise in that range.

I have yet to figure out what the problem is.
