Default Coolant level low...how to top off correctly?

So I was working on my car yesterday and I noticed the coolant level was pretty low. I checked the good old owner's manual and it said I needed to add "Nissan Anti-freeze" or equivalent quality anti-freeze.

Add 50% antifreeze and 50% demineralized distilled water.

What's a good brand? What should I watch out for when doing this? Thanks for any help.

You can make the 50/50 mix or buy the pre-mixed stuff. Prestone makes a pre mixed coolant. That's the one I use.

So can i just add more coolant? I'm thinking a complete flush isn't necessary @ 11k miles. Help anyone?

Yes, you can add more coolant. Just make sure it's 50/50 mix. Add it to your plastic reservoir, not directly to the radiator. The radiator will suck fluid from the reservoir as it needs it.

Flushes are seldomly needed, and if your just a little low like that, no need to make a big deal of it, add straight A/F or straight distilled. Your better off with less A/F than too much, so keep that in mind.

Also, always ask yourself, why am I low and keep an eye on it
