Just the obvious stuff like exhaust nuts and bolts are tight. Its also a good time to look at tire tread.

ROYAL PURPLE, you can't go wrong with any of their products, oil, 75 weight trans oil this stuff meets Nissan's specs, and in the radiator try some purple ice it will make your cars temp drop approx 15 degrees on average. You get what you pay for, doesn't your Z deserve the best?? You should look at replacing the all of the belts, & hoses for piece of mind, maybe the wiper blades and just take a good look at the underbody and insure nothing is loose or in serious need of repair. I usually pre plan my maintenance, but always find something that needs attentions when I finally have the time to work on my Z..... REMEMBER YOU BOUGHT THE Z DO THE WORK YOURSELF

Your accessory belts. You can purchse them right from Nissan, or go to one of the sites on this fourm. Courtesy (sp?) Nissan sells them as well I believe. Its not too hard to change and only takes like 1/2 really. I just changed mine 2-3 months ago.

Honestly, I think its all in your personal preference, and luck. Some people swear by Royal Purple, and others will say it gave them grinding gears. Some will use Amsoil, and say its the cure for all, others will say it ruined their tranny. A ton others, including myself, say stick with stock fluids because it was put there to begin with and for a reason.

I run Royal Purple oil and the engine feels a lot smoother. In fact, I've run Royal Purple in every vehicle I've ever owned and it made a difference in all of them.

1 bottle about $9.95 also for the trans & rear end you need approx 3 & a eigth quarts for the tranny and approx 1.5 quarts so you really need 5 quarts of the 75 weight for both of em. Synthetic is the way to go

I've heard a couple of bad things about Royal Purple, but WAY more good things and those problems could have been about to happen anyway. Royal Purple is good stuff.
