Hey All,

I have read up about the loud transmission noise when the clutch is not pressed in.

However, I noticed that once I start my car up and use the clutch for a while (driving normally), the sound with the clutch out gets louder and louder. It is really audible from outside the car...it sounds like there is another engine under the car!

The strange thing is that when I turn off the engine and turn it on again, the sound gets mutch quieter?

What do you guys think?

I also noticed that the transmission is getting physically harder to push the gearstick into first from neutral, and when I put the gearstick into third gear from neutral ( I dont actually start in 3rd) it gets stuck half way and then I have to push it again so it goes completely forward.

Do you guys have these problems?

its not that its a synchro mesh. at first i thought shiet...something is wrong then i realized that its a slight kind of metallic rubbing sound. thats normal.

 

should it be getting louder with the clutch not pressed after it runs for a while?
