Default Long Shot... Anyone have this jack?

Every so often I get this catalogue in the mail, Griot's Garage. I've never ordered anything from them, but, just from flipping through the pages and checking out their website, they seem to have some pretty nice products. Anyway, I've had to jack my lowered 'Z' up a few times over the past couple months and I come away each time thinking there has got to be an easier, more convenient way. I'm wondering if anyone on this board has this jack?

If so, are you happy with it? Would you recommend it to another member? Does your 'Z' have a body kit? Is your 'Z' lowered? If so, how much clearance is there using this jack? Any other feedback would be greatly appreciated (even if you don't own this jack, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts/opinions ). Thanks in advance...

never seen it, but it gives saddle clearance. looks like as long as the jack point (and whatever is in the way) is 3" off the ground it will work great. Says you can even remove the saddle and have that point be only 2 1/4 inches.

I can certainly empathize with you, I end up using my spare tire jack to lift enough to get my floor jack under lol. I will probably break down and buy a nice set of loooowwww ramps one day.

If you want a reasonably priced low profile hydraulic jack check Summit Racing. They have one for $190.

I've been using a tiny spare tire jack, because my floor jack can't even come close to fitting. I don't trust that little thing, so I'm seriously considering this jack. I like the fact that the siderails are low and extend back more than an inch or two; not start out low and then progressively rise up. Those type of jacks render the low jack pad virtually useless for a car with low ground clearance...

$400 seems to be a lot for a jack, but if it's functional for a lowered vehicle then I think it's worth it. And, in all honesty, it would probably be the last jack I purchase for a very long time. I mean, how often am I really going to be in the market for a new jack? Do it right the first time then don't worry about it again, right?
