THe other day the car finally threw the code P1283. I have the non-foulers on my t-pipes and had them installed since day one when i installed the t-pipes. I have been running this set up for 2 yrs. now but never had any problems until now.

I searched on here but did not come across any long term problems that people have running non-foulers. Is there a reason why after 2 yrs the code would pop up?

Can the o2 sensor be cleaned at all or does it have to be replaced?

I know my car is burning oil as well, so could this have also caused the problem? (burning oil residue depositing on the o2 sensor)

How long can you drive the car with the code being like this or does the sensor need to be replaced ASAP? Is there any long term damage that can be done to the car / performance if the sensor not swaped out?

I know there are other possibilites that could casue this such as AIR LEAK or FUEL PRESSURE loss. I know that i was low on gas but i doubt that could cause it. My intake set up includes a K&N filter and Z-tube and plenum spacer, but that hasnt been touched at all (so i am rulling that out as a possible cause)
