Long winter....battery dead.
Sigh
This is the first day since about November 30th here in eastern Iowa that there's been enough
A) Ice removed
B) Filling of 4 inch deep pot holes
for me to actually take the car out. Although I did periodically let the car run for awhile to make sure that nothing froze or got locked up, it decided to die on me the one day I was actually about to dust the cob webs off and get it road-worthy again...
That being said here's the number one task:
Finding a decent battery that will last, and that I can find at a local auto zone or something....
Anyone have some suggestions?

I have the same problem... I've been through my stock battery and two Optimas now (a yellow top and a red top)
All did not survive the winters of the car just sitting in the freezing garage for weeks and weeks.. I think a trickle charger would be best but that's not an option for me..
I currently have a Sears Diehard Gold.. You may laugh but so far it's the only battery to survive a winter in the Z.. well this winter is not over yet in the Northeast so I hope I didn't just jinx myself
