Default Cloth Seat Fraying TSB is out

All,

My Service Advisor told me that they have received the Seat TSB. I don't have the number with me, but I will try and get it for you all tomorrow.

It sounds like they are replacing all the cloth on the seats. I couldn't make out exactly what other parts are being replaced.

So, if you have the seat fraying problem, call your dealership.

JD

I dont have any fraying on my cloth seats, but Im gonna go fray them as much as possible. I wonder if you could talk the dealer into getting leather installed at a deal instead of fixing the TSB....

while youre at it, you might as well spray some grease streaks on the windows, shave every other tread block from the inside of your tires and try to ruin your tranny too. lets see, did we miss any other tsb's that you can get in on???

If this is a new TSB, it's not out on Nissan's website yet. Here is a link that will take you to the category listings for the 2003 350Z TSB's...

http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/nissa...3.asp?mscssid=

None of these links takes you anywhere that resembles a page about cloth seat fraying..

Sorry guys, been working a factory issue all day.

I will try and get the number from my dealership tomorrow. Clint read off the TSB info over the phone. They are ordering the parts to perform the TSB on my car. I don't know why it doesn't show up on the Nissan yet. Clint has always been on the up and up with stuff like this before.

My driver's seat is also fraying. Please keep us informed with any TSB information you find out.

Also, after checking out Nissan's Technical Service Bulletin page, I'm also experiencing another issue...increased noise from the engine when the air conditioning is on.

Because I'm due for the 11,250 mile service soon, I'll have them check out everything then.

I just spoke with Clint.

The TSB is NTB03-063.

My passenger seat was fraying, took it to the dealer and they're gonna fix it.

So what does the TSB say? Just replace the cover with the same part number, or is there a new type of cloth seat cover?

Exactly what is meant by "fraying" is that the stitching or the cloth itself. My passenger seat has some really worn looking spots, but I am not sure if it is fraying.

It is not the stitching, it is the cloth. It kinda looks like a worn sweater. The material actually starts to shred and kinda forms a "hairball."

I will be calling today to get mine replaced.

Is this considered fraying? I hope so!

Mine is fraying under my right *** check as well. I think it might be a "pivot" spot for me. Anyways called nissan and they said to bring it in and they will take care of it. Also purchased some seat covers form wetokole.com. i got the black interior with light grey piping w/ emblem. thought that would look best on a PPW drew
