looks like the ***s in my dealership is denying me for the revised tranny. and charging me 110 dollars for diagnostics. they told me they test drove it and didnt feel any grinding. I told them it doesnt happen all the time. but atleast once a day when i drive to work. soo now there charging me 110 bucks for just diagnostics what a ripoff! anything i can do? btw my e-brake doesnt hold for crap on a hill, takes like 20 clicks for it to actually hold, they told me i need to change my rear brake pads for it to be fixed. i thought i just needed adjustments on the lever?

that is the same thing that happend to me, it would only grind 5th like 1 time a day but it would only do it in the morning, does you car have a bad chatter noise coming from around your trans??? mine rattled so bad i could hear it inside the car, thats the other reason they replaced it..

Nissan doesn't just give away 2k trannies, they will try to prevent swapping them at all costs. This is how they stay in business. The garage at the dealership might as well be a seperate company trying to make a profit aside of Nissan. If their budget was organized at Nissan's profits they would swap things with less hassle.

So today i drove with the tech, because he said he coudnt replicate the grinding issue. I went and drove with him and in the first 3 mins 5th gear grinds. So we head back and he tells me hes gonna have a factory service tech to drive the car. So i then leave and get a call later that afternoon. They tell me that theres nothing wrong with the transmission soo its not covered by my powertrain warranty. They said they coudnt get it to grind again. So they tell me thats all they can do! soo i guess they are charging me 80 bucks for diagnostics??! when i told them what the problem was?? what can I do to get my damn car fixed!!!

Slanteyez, sorry to hear about all your problems with your dealership. I bought my car used on 10/07, and needed to have the transmission and clutch replaced about 4months ago. I bought the security-plus warranty, so it was covered. However, it took a couple of weeks (maybe a 1month or two) for the parts to come in. Nissan seems to be pretty slow with warranty work.
