Default To all that are having problems with window streaks and mis-adjusted windows

Forget requesting new doors, I'll get an attorney and have them buy it back due to lemon law. I have done it before. You have 18,000 miles or 18 months to have it done. The problem can be as simple as this one. You have to have it in the shop 4 times.

I wonder if everyone starting do this maybe Nissan will sit up and pay attention. I am even thinking about getting in touch with Car and Driver Magizine.

Here is my story:

Bought my car in December. Had it in twice before the TSB came out in April. The dealer ordered the parts, had my car for 3 DAYS, and was told it was fixed.

Now I have the problem with the window drop and return. Nothing major except that hits the roof when we open the doors. Thank goodness no leaking. The dealer is trying to pass it off as another whole part, something completely different.

I just read the TSB and it says "You must adjust the door glass after is is reinstalled. Otherwise, it may hit the roof when the door is opened and closed."

Sounds like to me that the Serv. Techs are not reading the TSBs. It sounds pretty simple to me. The fix for the grease marks caused the timing of my window problem.

I have had it in for 5 times and it is still not fixed. Still getting grease marks and all.

I even called (800) Nissan1 and talked to a Consumer Affairs Specialist. They gave me a file number and said they would help me with this situation. Left many messages and have never heard back from them.

It's funny you mention Car & Driver.

I have Automobile (automobilemag.com) in my office with me. They declared the 350Z their 2003 Car of the Year. In this July 2003 issue they have a report on long term test of a 350Z (page 102).

They do make a comment about a weak radio, but other than that they do NOT mention anything about feathering or toher issues after 15,949 miles. I thought they might be interested to hear from other Z owners.

As always, I will state I ADORE my Z, but a little public attention might help solve my two main issues, the tire feathering and the BOSE radio....

my windows have been serviced at least 5 times in 4 months.

it's ****ing ridiculous.... each time the service advisor looks at me like I'm being a picky a$$hole when I show him how the windows do not "auto up & down" properly when you open and close the door.

The attitude I get from the dealerships is less than desireable....

Default Grease Streak TSB

My whole experience with getting the grease streaks fixed was a nightmare. I left a scar on me. First the problem was on the passenger side door. Took it to dealer. And they ordered the part since it wasnt in stock. When I go back to the dealer they accidently orded the wrong part. They orded the driver side door. And was told to come back in 2 days for passenger side door. I go back to dealer again. And they do the work on both doors. The next day I get a call from dealer saying. Sir we scratced your tint on the passenger side door and we will have it replaced. I give them the correct percentage and they paid for the new tint. Once the work is "finished" I notice that the driver side window is to high and it is clearly off because I could see the bottom of the tint and where it cuttoff. I bring it back to dealer again. They "adjust" window. I drove to my house doing 90mph I hear outside road noise and a annoying whistle noise from the driver side door. I take it back to dealer again. They kept my car for 3 days this time before they got it right. Good luck to those getting this TSB done. Make sure you test how far the window goes up and down and drive your car at high speed to make sure the window is sealed.
