TPMS - Portable DVD Player Conflict
So... While driving from eastern PA up to and back from Niagra falls with my kid, I was scared shitless when the yellow TPMS warning light (one with the tire looking low) comes on. I immediately check the pressures of the tires and find that one is registering and three are --. Car feels fine each time. I pull over to check and all is fine with the tires. However, what was happening, is that my kid was watching a movie, for about 20 minutes, using a portable DVD player plugged into the passenger side power outlet. When he unplugged the DVD player, the yellow light went away and all four tires were registering normal pressure.
Question -- Will DVD players, radar detectors, GPS units and cell phones plugged into the power outlets cause the TPMS to malfunction? Could not find a post on this one. My answer is yes it will because the problem went away after the DVD player was removed. What I do find interesting is that the other devices I mentioned caused no problems with the TPMS.

my radar detector doesn't create any problems, and the other thing i use is like you plug it into the cigarette lighter but than you can plug a regular power cord into that and i have had no problems.
