Hello, I just installed an aem cai on my 2003 350z. I got it used so there was no instructions, I got everything on good and tight. Went to start it up, car will start and run for about 4 seconds. Starts, then idle drops and car dies. Any ideas at all what could cause this???

 

Did you put the sensor back onto the new intake?

 

ya, everything is on, the only thing that I noticed is that, the mass air flow sensor and the plastic tube it connects into, is facing the opposite direction then when it was stock. Could this be it?

 

yes, it sounds like its backwards.

just went out to the car and swapped the maf around and it turned on and works fine. thanks anyways.
