Angry Just got my first signs of Tire Feather

I got my Z back in November and I currently have 7500 miles. I have this loud noise starting at around 20mph-25mph. I just checked my front tires and they are showing signs of feathering on the inside. What should I do? Will the noise and vibration get worse? Thanks in advance.

Yeah I read about the "fix", I just dont want to have to go back every 2000-7000 miles. I opened my ticket with NNA also. Just wish they had a real fix for this issue.

unfortunately, you will have to go back every 2000-7000miles, since NNA does not have a fix for it yet.. They do for the 2004 models, but not for us 2003 models..

They have for the 2004? What did they do to fix it, and why can't they do it for our 2003's?

No one knows for sure that the 2004s are fixed...I'd give it 50%

I was told at the Dallas meet yesterday that all Z's with build dates later than December of 2002 will not have a tire feathering problem due to suspension changes they made. That seemed to be verified by others at the meet. My build date was January 2003 so I am very interested in validating the fix.

Do we have any Z owners out there with build dates in 2003 that have had tire feathering problems? Please respond and put our minds at ease. Thanks.

I'm at 4500 miles now, and still no signs of feathering yet.

I have 8300 miles. I can feel a wear difference on the inside edge of the front tires with my hand, but can't hear anything yet. When I took my car in to Stevens Creek Nissan at 7500 miles, I asked them about the feathering. They said there is nothing they can do.

I'd love to hear of a dealer in the Bay Area who will work with us on this issue.

Im taking my car in soon to Steven's Creek and they are going swap my tires, not a fix but half way there to new tires. I think you have to mention road noise, even though you dont have it, due to the fact that the TSB is for Road Noise.
