I recently just changed my belts on my Z. And now everytime I turn on the car I get this 1 sec belt squeek! It goes away after a sec and never comes back!

Does this mean that they are on too tight? Or are they too loose?

Could be both. Twist the belt, if it turns more than 1/2 way it is too loose. If it hardly turns at all it is too tight. Should turn about 1/4 to 1/2 way around.

 

Mine made the same sound for about the 1st couple of weeks after being changed, as they stretched the sound went away.
