Yesterday, I had the pleasure of racing my friends WRX and smoking him by at least 2 car lengths. But the mistake i did was dropping it down to first gear on stop position and reving it while flooring the gas at the green light. what field weird was once I let go of my clutch it was kinda stuck in the middle andwouldnt come back up until I depresssed it downagain to switch downto 2nd gear. After I realized what I just did, I got this smell that seemedlike it was coming from my clutch.

Did I just do some serious damage to my clutch, I hope i didnt just cut the life of the clutch in half!! Has anybody else done this b4 and is it as serious as it seems?
