Do you get $ back for your warranty if you sell a car?
As the title says, if you purchase an extrended warranty on a used car and later on sell the car, do you get a % of that back? For example, (covering up to 100K miles) I purchased the wheel and tire warranty, MPP bumper to bumper extended warranty, dent and ding repair and GAP insurance. Since these fees are all included in my loan, I was wondering if they pro rate them and give a portion of the $ back if I did not reach the 100,000 mile mark. I'm not planning on selling my car, but was just wondering.

No, the warranty will transfer to the new owner if the car is sold. Only way you could see extra money from that warranty is if you use the extended warranty as an extra selling point of the car and milk the new owner for a couple bucks.

I was at a dealership with a friend buying a used car a few weeks ago. The Lexus finance guy that was doing the paper work and trying to sell them extended warranty stated...
The original factory warranty 3-5 yrs or 40-60k miles (differs for different cars) will follow the car no matter if the owner changes or not. The extended warrantee if not used will be refunded to the buyer and cannot be transferred over to the new owner. If you have questions, you need to speak to the manufacturer or the company that sold you the extended warranty.

unless specified the warranty will transfer to the new owner. Figuring most people use this as leverage when selling a fairly expensive used car "still has warranty" most people do not run into this. If you request a refund on the "extended warranty" contract you paid seperate for when purchasing your car, YOU WILL be prorated for the difference left in the contract. Honestly though, you will probably get more for the car with the extended warranty than you would selling the car without and collecting the prorated difference from the insurance/warranty provider.
