Default Any problems with grinding in 3rd gear?

I am having trouble going in to 3rd gear. It keeps on grinding won't let me in. It sounds like it's the syncros. I drive my car from 2nd to 4th now. I had a JUN lighweight flywheel installed in. Does that affect the tranny in any way? Will it mess up my synchros?

Does it void out the warranty if I have an aftermarket flywheel?

My car just got the 3rd gear grinding. Same problem as yours. Many people on this forum had this problem and got their tranny replaced by the dealer. If you check out the repair section, you will find about this problem. I set up an appointment with my dealer to look at this problem. If nothing is wrong they will change my tranny. Sorry don't know if the flywheel will give you any problem when you bring it to your dealer or not. Good luck.

I'm having the same problem and it sucks when it happens. I wanted to know if those of you with this 3rd gear grind have it happening every single time you shift into 3rd or if it's a once in a while thing??? Thanx.

It happened most of the time. If you try to shift a little faster than normal and at higher rpm, it will grinds. If you shift really slow after the done with 2nd gear, then it will let you shift to 3rd gear but with a little hesitation.
