After reading the UOA thread by Resolute for a few weeks I narrowed it down to:

Shell rotella 5w-40 t-syn (good bang for the buck - good uoa numbers and under 20 bucks a gallon. Found at walmart and autozone.)

Castrol GTX: (good uoa numbers and doesn't cost alot. Found everywhere.)

German made Castrol: 0w-30 (very pricey super hard to find the "green stuff", but really awesome uoa numbers. Autozone used to carry it, but only has the amber color stuff now.)

I bought the Castrol 0w-30 because it's suppose to protect the engine during cold startup really well.

If you do rev up alot, then I recommend the synthetic oil. Otherwise, any regular oil will do. I dont like pennzoil, but you can try valvoline or castrol.

Castrol GT (semi synthetic) will be the best bet. Cheap and good oil.

The only question I had left is if Original Nissan filter or other brand? (Like purple royal)

The truth is that pretty much every engine oil does the same thing and your engine could really care less.Everyone globs on to the hype which is promoted by the oil companies to sell their product because they also know this.
don't get caught up in it too seriously. In saying that I love sellling super super oil everyday cause the profit is better. As for filters, yes be carefull.Too much off shore knock off filters around.Actually an OEM filter is as good as they get.Every one says Frams suck but they still sell 20 million a year

I bought some GC for my first oil change. Let me know what you think if you happen to put it in?
